Livejournal is for whining

It's seven in the morning and I'm listening to The Promise Ring and feeling sorry for myself. I guess it could be worse: I could be listening to Bauhaus or The Cure or something. Or I could be 15. That would totally be the worst.

Being 32 and feeling this way is not that much better.

I think partly breaking into more mainstream sad person music (ie the National) means that I can listen to music and feel sorry for myself without instantly being transported to 1992 or even 2002.

I think it's better than being 15, cause at 15 - you don't have a solid knowledge that sad feeling is a temporary fleeting thing... at 32, hopefully you should know that it will pass and that there will also be fleeting moments of anger, happiness, contentment, nausea, joy, etc. to follow.
