Today I am wearing an old Sub Pop Records shirt that reads LOSER in 1.5" white letters across the front, the Sub Pop logo on the back. I think it was made in, like, 1996? I got it at a local thrift store a few months back for a buck but I've been a bit apprehensive about wearing it. Is this a good idea? Am I just asking for trouble? Mind you, I'm 27 years old and I don't get made fun of by my peers that often anymore, and when it happens it's almost always in good fun. I would have never worn a shirt like this in high school. Still, there's a little of that ol' nerdy punching bag left in me from back then, and that makes me feel just a touch anxious and awkward. Mind you, I have a shirt by the band Prick that I wear all the time. I think in the five years that I've owned that shirt I've received two, maybe three, "Hah! Way to be a..." comments, probably all from my former editor Bob. His sense of humor is like that.
Anyway, I guess that's it. I'm leaving the house now, errands to run. I suppose that even if you had advice, like perhaps "NO YONI DON'T DO IT ALL THE STRANGERS OF THE WORLD WILL MAKE FUN OF YOU! NOOOOOOOOO!", I won't get it in time.

p.s. I expect at least a couple of you to say something about remembering those shirts when they were a popular item in the mid-90s. Yay grunge!

squelch84 - I used to wear that shirt all the time and I would have punched anyone that made fun of me for it.
freshwater_pr0n - That shirt! I saw the dude from Huggy Bear in one of those once! I thought it was funny, cause it was when the whole grunge thing was super popular and I never really thought of anyone in that band, you know, wearing flannel.
