Seattle is go!
Dec. 17th, 2008 06:19 pmLuggage is not! Yup. They lost it. Funny thing was, it was my carry on. There wasn't any room for it on the plane and so it had to be gate checked. Bye bye! Thankfully I took my computer and Isaac Asimov's The Foundation Trilogy out before I gave it to them. I did not, however, take out the computer cables. I have two and a half hours left on the battery. We'll see when my bag actually shows up.
Right now I'm vegging out in the food court at Uwajimaya - a Japanese megagrocer in downtown Seattle - and using the free Internets. In theory, my bag might show up tonight. They weren't sure where it was, though, which is definitely a problem. According to the tags, it's on a flight to Denmark. If my bag goes to Denmark without me, I'm going to be very sad. According to the helpful people in the Northwest Air* left luggage, it's probably in Philly or Detroit, which is where I stopped on the way out here.
This is a surprise trip to Seattle. I booked it four days ago. It was quite cheap. I will be hanging out with my friend Rachel and her family for a few days. I think we're also heading up to Bellingham for a couple? Unsure what my plans are, really. One way or the other, I'll be sure not to update you guys as to what I'm doing unless it's really interesting, cause that's how I roll. That being said, there's people that must be hung out with! You know who you are. I will be in touch. Brainwaves!
And I meant what I said about postcards! See previous post if you want one.

* I can't think about flying NWA without chuckling. I'm bad.
