Do y'all have your high school and/or college listed? I'm tempted to put down my high school, though there really isn't anyone on Myspace that I graduated with who I'm interested in re-befriending. I figure that if I wasn't friends with them, what, eight years ago, why should I be friends with them now? On the other hand, I really like the idea of them finding me and, God willing, realizing I'm the coolest motherfucker ever and that they shouldn't have dissed me back in the day. Sure, these are all nerd fantasies, but still! It's tempting.

Yeah, but... I don't think they'd be as impressed by me as I'm impressed by who I've become.

I have my university listed. Oddly, I'm probably friends with more people from high school than from university. But I thought putting down my high school would make me way too identifiable, whereas half of Toronto went to York.

I listed my high school, both on Facebook and Myspace (because, ya know, I'm too scene to use just one), for one reason:
When the kids who dissed me back in the day try to friend me now... it feels soooooooooo good to reject them.

Mmmm... cathartic...

That's what I was thinking! Like, there are two kids on there that used to pick on me unmercilessly. And I'm at least 50% sure they'd try and add me. Fuckers.

i put mine on there because i'm kind of obsessed with finding people i knew when i was six. people never turn out how you think. however, cos i'm paranoid, i put down the wrong dates for my graduation (for example, it says i graduated from drexel in 1952). for some reason i think this would make it harder for some stranger to figure out who i am in real life and come find me and kill me, even though that doesn't make any sense.

Yes. But I'm not sure I advocate that. I can easily reject folks I was never friends with, be they of the popular variety or not, but what about the losers I was friends with? Remember Lisa, the girl who was at that weird party of Mindy's we crashed like two years ago? Hmmm

Hells no. The only person in my year from Catholic school was half of Sacred Heart's own Columbine couple - two super-closeted gay boys who were obsessed with Hitler. Boyo is married with a kid now, and that's so insanely depressing that I don't even want to KNOW about anyone else.

And, although my alma mater, the School for Bad Smart Kids, isn't even listed on Myspace, I have the headmaster and my best friend from senior year friended.

I *do* list Patrick Henry College, so I get tons of friends requests from shitty Christian bands.

I have my high school listed, and I obsessively search through others who have added it as well. My conclusion is always that I don't like anyone. I'm certainly not there to make friends. A lot of people told me I was stupid for having an on-line relationship with some weirdo 20-something year old in Sweden...so it would be fun if they found me and saw that I live in Stockholm now.

But they're all idiots :( At least the ones from my class and the couple from yours that I sorta recognize.

Hah, I know! I wasn't even friends with anyone in my class. I like all them cute youngins, and they're all too cool to add our high school to their profiles :P

I have an account with pretty much no info at all but I was cruising for people from high school this past weekend. Mostly to see if they were all still asses. Only found two and nobody I'd bother contacting.

i added my high school to my myspace but its just led to a lot of really awkward "OMG Maria i didn't know you were on myspace do you remember me from high school OMG youve changed so much we should hang out sometime!" messages.
